SUBDUED marks BRüdi's first formal collection — presented as part of the annual
5 Artists 1 Love exhibition at the Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton's premier public gallery.
5A1L, founded to celebrate the vibrancy of Edmonton's African Canadian communities through artistic engagement,
brought Jabari's acrylic works exploring Black Canadian identity, history, and culture to one of the city's most
prominent stages.

BRüdi's debut solo exhibition — a powerful visual narrative centred on the
Coloured Hockey League of Canada, an overlooked chapter of Black Canadian history brought to canvas.
A major milestone: Champions: Breaking Barriers established BRüdi as a solo exhibition artist
in Edmonton, and the work continues to resonate as a cornerstone of his practice.
The exhibition was supported by the Edmonton Arts Council's Stream 3 grant —
the EAC's top-tier Artist-Driven Major Projects funding of up to $25,000, awarded to projects ready for production
and presentation.

Legacy: A tradition begun by Karl Broodhagen in 1971, continued annually for over five decades
BRüdi participated in the 54th iteration of the Broodhagen family annual exhibition alongside
uncle Virgil Broodhagen — his 1st international exhibition and a direct continuation of a legacy
started by grandfather Karl Broodhagen in 1971. The exhibition showcases Black Caribbean beauty
through oil paint and sculpture, capturing scenes of ordinary Bajan people and their rural and urban lives.
